Inspire and Inform tomorrow's Science, Engineering and Technology professionals
During 2007 Macquarie University will hold a series of four forums to inspire and inform our science, engineering and technology (SET) students of the bright futures available to SET graduates.
Each Bright Futures Forum will feature a high-profile or senior keynote speaker who is a SET graduate and works in a SET-related organisation. The four forum presenters will come from vastly different SET sectors and professional backgrounds. This will assist students in realising the scope of careers available to SET graduates.
The general topics that presenters will cover are:
- What success means to them
- How they became successful in their vocational area
- Tips for success in SET-related organisations
- Skills they learnt as a university student and why these skills have been pertinent to their career and success.
Would you or someone you know like to inspire and inform the next generation of SET professionals? If so, please contact Rachel Rizk, Macquarie University's Science and Technology Liaison Officer.
